Douglas Place

Douglas Place was originally established as a halfway house in 1976, which was then located in downtown East Grand Forks, MN. After almost 30 years, Douglas Place moved to its current location on the northeast edge of town. One of the main attractions Douglas Place has to offer is our culturally specific Native American programming. In recent years the Minnesota Department of Human Services made changes to consolidate all residential treatment under one license, which allowed Douglas Place to restructure and provide specialized treatment to all levels of care. We now offer high, medium, and low intensity residential treatment for men and women, as well as a young adult program. We offer Native American culturally specific treatment at high, medium, and low intensities, including young adults. Douglas Place has grown and earned longevity in the region as a treatment provider. Douglas Place takes pride in offering the correct level of treatment, for the correct amount of time, with the right services, to meet the individual needs of each client.
